The M.C. was Michael Cahoon. With clogging being such a popular activity in Magrath there were several clogging selections. Cloggers were: Paige & Cheriess Hudson, Noelle Wolsey, Lauren Balderson, Maren Alstdn, MelisSa Schneider, Bonnie Wilde, and Casey Dever. * Seniors News * Grocery Specials There were a couple of Mother/child combinations. They were Sharon Ragan on the Vibraharp with her son, Aaron, accompanying on the piano and Jaqueline ihgg on the Cello with her mother, Debbie, accompanying on the piano. Both were excellent. The Elementary School Choir, led by Kathy Cosgrove, favored us with a number called “Bubblegum Song” which ended with a BANG! Tanis Beazer, Donalee Collinge and Ashylla Chipman performed a number from the play that the Cultural Arts Society put qn this spring called “Don’t Count Your Chickens Until They Cry Wolf, accompanied by Erica Thomson. There were also some country music numbers. Diamond Willow, Leanne Sabey and Audra Foggin, sang for us as well as Johnny Panzak. One of the hits of the night was our own Trevor Panzak. He even had a bunch of fans lined up afterwards for autographs. . To finish off the wonderful evening, Michelle Aalders-Moors played two beautiful numbers on the piano. The Magrath Cultural Arts Society would like to thank all those who participated or helped in any way to make this production a success. Here is an idea that might be of interest to you. HARBOUR HOUSE is a shelter that is located at the YWCA. in Lethbridge that provides lodging & protection for battered & abused women and their children. Many of these families have had to flee their homes with just the clothes on their backs. Harbour House already has a "Wish List" made up of "needs" & "nice to have" items. Karri, (the supervisor at H.H.), Was very helpful in suggesting some priority needs. - women's p.j.'s and nightshirts (all sizes) - children's boxer shorts (sz. small tox-large) - socks, slippers, night lights, bath oils & beads - shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes. We are also making Santa "treat bags". Any candy and/or new toys that you want to part with would help to fill the sacks. The soup kitchen project was a huge success thanks to the kindheartedness of you people here in Magrath. This year, any new donation is a needed one. If you'd love to help us, we'd love to have you participate! Donations can be dropped off at the Magrath Pharmacy and at Roger Davies Soft Serve Directoffice (132 S. 2nd St. W.) or call Shauna Davies at 758-3827 to come and pickup. If you are pressed for time and would like to have the shopping done for you, we'd be happy to. Last years cash donations were greatly appreciated. A great idea for Christmas gift-giving, weddings, sporting highlights, video baby book, family reunions, etc. Participants will take home a completed digital video "movie" output to VHS tape. (These movies may also be stored on CD, on the Web, or sent via email.) Participants need to bring their own photographs, video clips and choice of background music (preferably on CD).
