This forum is open to: School Councils, Teachers, Support Staff, Administrators & Board Members. The School Science Fair has been rescheduled for Thur. Apr. 18. Volunteers are needed to help judging and welcomes anyone who would like to get involved. Entries for the School Fair will be accepted until Mon. Apr. 15 EASTER BREAK IS FRIDAY, APRIL 5 - 14. ****** NEWS RELEASE CHINOOK HEALTH REGION Remember to BOIL WATER before using. Then store in clean, covered containers. We still need to conserve water as the town tries to adjust the water treatment system to deal with the water coming in from the plant. The crew is still trying to keep the town’s water below the turbidity mark. Not much can be done until the dam settles down and the water becomes more stable. It was noted that 80% of the water consumed is for toilets & sinks. It is suggested that we hold off flushing until necessary, each flush uses 5 gal. Also quicker showers, larger loads of laundry are suggested as means of cutting down on water overuse. Town crews are running on two shifts at the plant from 4 a.m. till 11 p.m. ****** APRIL IS CANCER MONTH The Canadian Cancer Society volunteers will be conduction their annual door to door canvass during April. As one of the guests at the Ladies Night Oot I'd like to say a Big Thank You to the organizers. We had great food, lots of participation on a varied program, many fantastic prizes and a delightful MC, who tied it all together. The April meeting has been moved to the 10th of Aprilat 7:00 p.m. at the home of Marion Mostowy A A A A A A Hazel Dudley received word this month that her 10 year old granddaughter Sherry Pomerleau competed in the Edmonton Journal Games, a track meet for schools in Edmonton and district sponsored by the Edmonton Journal. She won 1st place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2' 44". There were 140 Elementary students competing in this run and 6,000 entries in the Games. Sherry’s sister, Jennifer, was a member of a relay team that got as far as the semi finals. We are really proud of these young people. AAAAAA When? Loren leaves to mourne his wife LaVerne and his children Dan (Bridget) Critchfield,Arlene (Francis) Kuyten, Melvin (Lillian) Critchfield, Ronald (Sandra) Critchfield, a brother, Joseph and three sisters: Patricia, Myrtle & Eleanor. He was predeceased by one son Edward. The funeral services were held Tues. Edward has undergone heart surgery to help correct the problems present at birth. TRAVEL NEWS: Our next trip will be to Raymond for the play "Crazy for You" with music from Gershwin. Since this is Dinner Theatre we will attend a dinner at the Raymond Seniors followed by the play at the Raymond Playhouse. This will be on April 2. The fee will be $15 each which includes the dinner, the play & the bus (leaves at 5:45 p.m.) Our next trip is the Quartet Festival which will be Apr. 27 at the Victory Church in Lethbridge.
