In the Spokane Continental Crown, October 14, Jayme Sheridan and Jordon Zaugg both took silver medals. Carson Keeler came home with a bronze and Tanner Zaugg, although small in stature, showed huge Judo Spirit and Ke-i and won 4th. Good Going Guys! FOOTBALL Last Friday night the Raymond Comets Football Team declawed the Cardston Cougars. The final score was Comets 39 - Cougars 14. Scoring for the Comets started with Jacob Swainson running for 2 TD’s from a distance of 2 and 3 yds. Each. Jimmy Balderson, then intercepted as pass on the first day ofthe second half and then methodically marched the offence down the field and capped off the march with a QB option and ran the ball in from 21 yds. Out. Cardston finally got on the board when QB Nick Pitcher ran 26 yds to paydirt. The Comets came right back with TD of their own when Balderson threw a 33 yd pass to Logan Romeril in the endzone. The top rusher for Raymond, Jacob Swainson, capped off the night with another 16 yd. TF run. Swainson finished with 151 yds rushing and 3 TD’s. He also caught 2 passes for 54 yds. Balderson completed 12 passes on 14 attempts and 247 total yds. His #1 receiver was Jared Holt. Holtpulled in 6passes for 115yds. First Downs were Raymond 17 - Cardston 4. Raymond played tenacious defense allowing only 61 yds total offence. Penalties were Raymond 10 for 125 yards - Cardston 4 for 3 0 yds. The Comets will be bussing down to Draper High School for a game in Utah this next weekend. While there they will also be able to attend a B YU vs. Wyoming Football game. A great idea for Christmas gift-giving, weddings, sporting highlights, video baby book, family reunions, etc. Participantswill take home a completed digital video "movie" output to VHS tape. (These movies may also be stored on CD, on the Web, or sent via email.) Participants need to bring their own photographs, video clips and choice of background music (preferably on CD). Here is an idea that might be of interest to you. HARBOUR HOUSE is a shelter that is located at the Y.W.C.A. in Lethbridge that provides lodging & protection for battered & abused women and their children. Many of these families have had to flee their homes with just the clothes on their backs. Harbour House already has a "Wish List" made up of "needs" & "nice to have" items. Karri, (the supervisor at H.H.), Was very helpful in suggesting some priority needs. - women's p.j.'s and nightshirts (all sizes) - children's boxer shorts (sz. small to x-large) - socks, slippers, night lights, bath oils & beads - shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes. We are also making Santa "treat bags". Any candy and/or new toys that you want to part with would help to fill the sacks. The soup kitchen project was a huge success thanks to the kindheartedness of you people here in Magrath. This year, any new donation is a needed one. If you'd love to help us, we'd love to have you participate!
