The band was very successful. They were asked to do an encore, where they received a standing ovation. They finished 1st in their category. In volleyball, the varsity boys received consolation in the Picture Butte tournament. The Jr. High were in Cardston: Gr. 9 girls: 3rd place, Gr. 9 boys: 2nd place, Gr. 8 girls: 5th place, Gr. 8 boys: 4th place, Gr. 7 girls: Sth place, Gr. 7 boys: 3rd place. Friday is slave days. Sr. will be able to buy freshmen & own them for the school day. There will be a high school dance from 9 pm - 12 midnight. Oct. 18 Pandas at Taber Oct. 24 Pandas host Picture Butte Magazines will be here at the end of the week. If you subscribe to a magazine, please order thru the school & support the student union. J.D. Clark had TD runs of 1, 7, & 21 yds, while also catching a 5 yd pass from Trent Dudley. Clark also threw an 11 yd TD strike to Darren Balderson. Jordan Heath added a 38 yd. major. He is survived by 5 daughters, 3 sons, his mother, 3 sisters & 4 brothers. In lieu of flowers, please donate blood. ** **** In Loving Memory of Elmer Harker Beloved husband of Lisadore Harker of Magrath, passed away Wed Oct. 11, 1995 at the age of 92 years. Elmer was born on Mar. 5, 1903 in Magrath to Heber Willard and Margaret Ann Terry Harker. He married Clara Vilate Brown, May 29, 1924. She died Oct. 1 1 1932. He married Eva Brown in May 1936. Eva died 1972. He married Lisadore Brown Crookston in 1973. All three of his wives were sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lisadore of Magrath, one son Reed (Doris) Harker of Salt Lake City, 2 daughters, Rhean (Vernon) Olson & Dorothy Ann (Eugene) Bramhall both of Provo, Utah, 1 step-daugher Eva Marie (Ken) Harker of Magrath, 2 step-sons, Bryan (Joyce) Crookston of Westbridge, BC. & Kent (Gayle) Crookston of St. Paul, Minn.
