DAMPAK SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT BUKIT JADDIH DI MASA NEW NORMAL (STUDI DI WISATA BUKIT JADDIH, KECAMATAN SOCAH, KABUPATEN BANGKALAN MADURA)

This research illustrates how the socio-economic impacts found in the Bukit Jaddih tourist location, Madura are due to the spread of COVID-19. Covid-19 caused the tourism sector to experience difficulties, so the economy of the people of Bukit Jaddih stagnated. This caused the people of Bukit Jaddih to finally choose another option to support their family's economy, so that some people took the initiative to change professions, hoping that by doing so they could increase their rupiah coffers and meet their daily needs. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is How is the socio-economic impact of the Bukit Jaddih community in the New Normal (Studies in Bukit Jaddih Tourism, Socah District, Bangkalan Madura Regency)? In this study using a qualitative approach, using a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Determination of the subject using purposive sampling method, which is linked to the theory of rational choice or rational choice by James .S Coleman. The results of this study are that the spread of covid-19 caused the people of Bukit Jaddih to have a rational choice as a determinant of their choice, to choose to survive in the midst of lonely tourists or choose to look for other options as additional income to survive in the midst of the spread of covid which caused the economy to weaken, one of which was in the sector. touris
