Dr. Watson led in prayer, 1724. MINUTES The minutes of the meeting of June 5, 1937 were approved* 1725..HOSTEL COMMITTEE Council approved: a) The revised copy of rules for the hostel. The most important charges are those having to do with attendance at Saturday night socials and Sunday morning services* Instead of stating that attendance is compulsory, the rules now say that on Saturdays "all students are expected to participate", and on Sundays all " are to be present These rules are to be mimeographed; b) The recommendation to equip the drawers ofthe students' chiffoniers with locks with a dead bolt, replacing the present spring bolts* c) The recommendation that the annual charge be increased by L,E*5* 1726*CQLLEGE FEES, Council approved two recommendations from the College Faculty a) Fees in Forms 11 and III are to be increased from L,E.14.500 to L,E*16.500. a year* b) Students will pay a special fee of P.T.20 for certificates* 1727*DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PROSPECTUS, Owing to the absence of Dr* Boktor this summer the printing of this prospectus was left to a committee composed of those Council members who are to be in Cairo this summer* 1723*SUMMER COUNCILS Council agreed that on matters where immediate action may be required, the members of Council who remain in Cairo are empowered to act* 1729*DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS; Council voted to ask the Trustees for three "Trustees Scholarships" to be used as grant inaid in the Dept, of Education* 173Q*ADJ0URNMENT: Council adjourned at 12:10* H* W* Vandersall Secretar
