Council approved the Minutes of November 6, 1943. 2418-DR BADKAU; Council extended a hearty welcome to Dr. Badeau on his return to Kgypt and to the work of the University. 2416- WAR BONUS? Council authorized payment of the War Bonus for the first six months of the year 1943-1944 as usual, although word has not yet been received from Mr. Lum on this subject. A list submitted by the Bursar of those entitled to receive the bonus was approved. 2417- MR OCTAVK KIVRN? Council voted payment of £10 (Sterling) to Mr. Octave Kiven as a gift, as was done last year. (Minutes Finance Committee, December 22, 1942, 723—Item 4). 2418- U.S.A.F.I.> Council approved several amendments, Nos. 1, 2, 3, to tine present Contract of the Department of Correspondence Courses of the University with the United States Armed Forces Institute, No.Vi»256-4M-52, covering the following items? 1. Securing instructional services, 2. Designated class rooms, 3. Designated storage space. The President was authorized to sign the amendments on behalf of the University. 2419-ADJOUKNMKNT: Council adjourned at 1?15 p.m. after the President had presented a number of matters on which action may be required at a later time.
