Cleland, 3563' - MINUTES: The minutes of the meetings of February 6 and Feb- ruary 13, 19^ ~ //35^-9 to 3363 - were approved after certain corrections. 3366 - HE- E-tTS: In reference to linute 3333* the Chairman reported that the Pinance Committee of the Board of Trustees had accepted Council*s recommendation and agreed that Mr. Marcel Kiven should have exactly the same pension privileges as a member of the American staff. With reference to the request of hr. Harrell F. Beck for travel expenses, the Pinance Committee accepted Council's recommendstIon and agreed to pay the travel expenses of Mr. and <ra. Beck from Cairo to destination in America. The Finance Committee noted particularly that these travel grants are made exceptionally and are not to bo considered as a precedent for the future, 336? - AhEHlCJU COLLEGE FOR GIRLS: Council considered the request of r. lolen J. art in of the American College for Girls to rent 13 feddans of land on our Giza property for a period of ten years to carry out a project in rural welfare under the auspices of their Alumnae Association, and financed by a grant from the ‘ore. Foundation. It was voted to grant this request by renting 13 feddans at L.h, 13.000 per foe an per year on a ten-year lease. The Bursar is authorized to make the arrangement within the southernmost section and with due consideration for the future interests of the University, including the possibility of the sale of any part of the rented area before the leaso expires
