PEMAKNAAN KADER BINA KELUARGA BALITA TERHADAP PROGRAM PENANGANAN CHILDREN STUNTING (Studi Pada BKB Melati di Desa Pait Kecamatan Kasembon Kabupaten Malang)

Based on data from Unicef, the problem of short children (stunting) is one of the nutritional problems faced in the world, especially in poor and developing countries including Indonesia. Many factors cause the high incidence of stunting in infants. Economy, demographics, environment, and culture change lifestyle and consumption patterns that cause child development problems. One of the government's efforts in the stunting handling program is through the Bina Keluarga Balita Program (BKB) which is assisted by cadres in a certain area. The purpose of this study was to find out the meaning of Bina Keluarga Balita by cadre (BKB) for the handling of children stunting program. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach. As for the subjects of the study were cadres (BKB). The research subject determination technique used is purposive sampling which is a study that uses certain considerations. The analysis technique in this research uses the phenomenology method. Based on research conducted in Pait Village, it was found that the handling program for stunting was interpreted by cadres as literacy to parents in providing child nutrition, printing smart generations, assignments, and entertainment. So the conclusion is that the stunting handling program is interpreted by the cadre as a result of the cadre experience formed by the stock of knowledge which then creates an awareness to take action. The knowledge structure is obtained through information provided by the media, literacy from the Government through socialization, power, and seeing the social reality that occurs in everyday life
