UPAYA IBU DALAM MENCEGAH KEKAMBUHAN ANAK DENGAN ASMA

Background: Asthma is one of the major health problems in both developed and developing countries. Asthma in children is a problem for patients and families, because asthma in children affects a variety of specific aspects related to quality of life, including the process of growth and development both in infancy, toddlers and adolescents. Method: The method used is qualitative method by triangulation with a case study approach, in the village. Kasin Ampeldento, Malang on July 2, 2019. Data collection was obtained by interviewing 3 respondents, namely families of patients who have children with asthma. Results: From the results of the study, maternal efforts to prevent recurrence of children with asthma were found in 4 themes and 5 sub-themes, namely managing food avoided, reducing exposure from the environment to prevent recurrence, physical activity management, and maternal support in terms of treatment. Conclusion: Looking at the results of the study it can be concluded that maternal efforts to prevent recurrence of children with asthma can be prevented by avoiding preservative foods and physical activities such as swimming that can train breathing
