The Panda won the LCI Tourney. They played Catholic Central and defeated them. Next they played Raymond and won 63-57. The girls played LCI and won. Patricia Balderson received the MVP for the tournament. The boys won a game against Percy Page, but they lost to Bishop Grandan & Paul Kane. This week the boys will be in Coaldale on Wed, and the girls will travel to Taber. Fri. the Jr. varsity boys travel to Kaini. Wed. the Gr. 7 hosts Cardston, while the Gr. 8’s play in Cardston. The Gr. 9’s travel to Hillspring on Thur. The Varsity boys will play WCHS on Sat. in Lethbridge. ****** MAGRATH TADPOLE STINGERS The Tadpole Stingers played great hockey on Sat. Dec. 9 against Warner. Goals & assists by Cole Barnett 3-3, Connor Barnett 3-0, Jeff Ripley 2-0, Casey Hillmer 1-1, Curtis Nishikawa 1-0, Mitch Maxwell 0-1. Outstanding goal tending was performed by Curtis Nishikawa, Kit Folkes & Connor Barnett. They won 10-7. Good Job Stingers!! ****** !!HEY KIDS!! MAGRATH HAWKS HOCKEY NEWS The Hawks had their annual tournament on Dec. 8 & 9. Their 1st game was against Raymond which they lost by 7-1. The lone Magrath scorer was Austin Wamboldt. The Hustle award went to Layne Gill. The 2nd game was against Great FaBs (McCracken) which they won 5-2. Magrath scorers were: Shane Nishikawa 2-1, John Rudd 1, Austin Wamboldt 1-1, Shawn Ragan 1-1, Layne Gill 1, Russ Yoshihara 1. Game hustler went to Shawn Ragan. In the last game they beat Great Falls (Baker) by a score of 7-0. Shane Nishikawa recorded the shut-out. Magrath scorers were: Brady Mehew 1-2, Todd Brandham 2-1, Shawn Ragan 1, Allen Gaff 1, Russ Yoshihara 1-1, Logan Hofer 1, John Rudd 2, Ben Koskevich, Russell Ririe & Layne Gill each getting an assist. Game hustler went to John Rudd. The tournament was another success story, thanks to the efforts of our tournament chairperson Laura Nishikawa.
