Manuscript received 27 October 1980, revised 7 July 1981, accepted 11 August 1981 The albumin and globulin fraction of 4 uncultivated leguminous seeds were isolated and their amino acid composition studied. Each seed has been found to have its own pattern. Animals were fed with the protein isolates from uncultivated leguminous seeds supplemented with the limiting amino acids methionine and tryptophan. No untoward symptoms noticed and the diet proved capable of promoting growth
