Mass Communication Program Review 2009/2010 Memorandum of Understanding

Includes two documents: 1) a cover letter from Vice-Provost Cynthia Rawitch to President Jolene Koester and Robert Bucker, Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and; 2) a memorandum of understanding (MOU) from the Office of the Provost outlining commendations and recommendations for the department as expressed by the external reviewers, Lauren Castaneda and Raul Ries.The CSUN Department of Mass Communication, housed in the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication, offers a graduate degree in Mass Communication. The Department undertook a self-study (submitted December, 2009), followed by an external review on March 23 and 24, 2010. The external reviewers were Dr. Lauren Castaneda of the University of Southern California and Dr. Raul Reis of California State University Long Beach. The Department???s MOU meeting occurred on May 20, 2011. Follow-up will occur at one and three years. Their next program review cycle will culminate in a new self-study, external review, and MOU in AY 2015-2016
