Philosophy Program Review 2011/2012 Memorandum of Understanding

Includes two documents: 1) a cover letter from Vice-Provost Cynthia Rawitch to President Dianne Harrison and; 2) a memorandum of understanding (MOU) from the Office of the Provost outlining commendations and recommendations for the department as expressed by the external reviewers, David Pitt and Howar Wettstein.The CSUN Department of Philosophy housed in the College of Humanities, offers an undergraduate degree and a minor in Philosophy. The Department undertook a self-study (submitted February 9, 2010) followed by an external review on Novemeber 18 and 29, 2010. The external reviewers were Dr. David Pitt of California State University, Los Angeles and Dr. Howar Wettstein of University of California, Riverside.The Department???s MOU meeting occurred on April 10, 2012. Follow-up will occur at one and three years. Their next program review cycle will culminate in a new self-study, external review, and MOU in AY 2016-2017
