Chicano/a Studies Program Review 2010/2011 Memorandum of Understanding

Includes two documents: 1) a cover letter from Vice-Provost Cynthia Rawitch to President Jolene Koester and Elizabeth Say, Dean, College of Humanities and; 2) a memorandum of understanding (MOU) from the Office of the Provost outlining commendations and recommendations for the department as expressed by the external reviewers, Julia Curry and Michael Soldatenko.The CSUN Department of Chicano/a Studies housed in the College of Humanities, offers an undergraduate and a graduate degree and a minor in Chicano/a Studies. The Department undertook a self-study (submitted February 25, 2010) followed by an external review. The external reviewers were Dr. Julia Curry of California State University, San Jose and Dr. Michael Soldatenko of California State University, Los Angeles. The Department???s MOU meeting occurred on February 17, 2010. Follow-up will occur at one and three years. Their next program review cycle will culminate in a new self-study, external review, and MOU in AY 2016-2017
