Oral history; interview with Dr. Warren C. Couvillion, Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics, May 7, 2012, Mitchell Memorial Library, Mississippi State University. Couvillion was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1940. He received his Bachelor\u27s and Master\u27s degrees at Louisiana State University, and his PhD from the University of Tennessee in 1971. That same year, he came to Mississippi State as an Assistant Professor. He later became an Associate Professor and then a full Professor in Agricultural Economics. He first worked with Livestock Marketing, but in 1975 began working with the Seed Technology Unit as a team economist. He also was a part of the Center for Security and Strategic Studies.
