A number of models are used in EUMAC in order to simulate the transport, transformation and deposition of atmospheric constituents. The modeling domain of the EURAD model covers the whole of Europe. There are also smaller scale models with very high horizontal resolution e.g. the EUMAC Zooming Model (EZM). This project contributed by coupling these two models. At our institute we developed programs in order to couple the model MEMO, which is part of EZM, and the model MM4/MM5, which is part of the EURAD-Model. Several extensions were made to the nesting schemes. The most important steps hereby were the inclusion of a finer orography in the nested model and closing the gap in the horizontal resolution between a nested run of MEMO and MM5 and...
