Minutes of November 30. 1966; The minutes of November 30, 1966 were approved as distributed. 4°3. Proposals of ways to amend the By-Laws; a. Dr. Naamani presented the issues confronting the By-Laws Committee. b. Dr. Husseini presented three alternative ways of dealing with these issues, viz.s 1. large-scale revision of the structure of the Academic Board and Committees and of the By-Laws in general! 2. small-scale amendment of the By-Laws in the light of recommendations from the Faculty; 3. retention of the By-Laws in their present form. c. Dr. Faulkner presented eight points in support of the first alternative proposed by Dr. Husseini (see above). d. The Faculty then took action as follows; 1. voted to expand the present By-Laws Committee; 2. voted, after eight nominations, to close nominations to additional memberships in the present Committee; 3. voted that the nominees become the additional members; 4. voted to reconsider the previous action; 5. voted to choose five of the eight nominees by ballet to serve as additional members; 6. approved the appointment of Dean Crabbs as Faculty Pa r 1 ia me nta r ia n; 7. elected the following additional members to the By-Laws Committees Dr. Crick Dr. Faulkner Dr. Hess Dr. Kassebaum Dr. Noweihi 8. voted that the expanded Committee be charged to consider all reports and recommendations submitted to it in order to investigate all possible ways of increasing the participation of the Faculty in ail activities covered by the By-Laws. 404• Announcements; Dr, Tittel announced the decision of the Program Committee to use the Mena House for the Faculty party on February 23« 405. Miscellaneous: Dean Crabbs commended the Faculty for its interest in the university. 406, Adjournment s The meeting was adjourned at 2.00 p.m
