Dr. Cleland led in prayer. 2838 - Minutes: of Meeting of February 15, 1947 - Nos. 2830 to 2836 - were approved as typed. 2839 - Finance Committee: The Minutes of February 18, 1S47 - Nos. 932 to 936 - and" of February 22 - Bos. 937 to 940 - wore approved as typed. Items included were* replies of Council to the comments of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees dated Ootober 3, 1946, relative to actions taken during 1945-1946; recommendation, under "Children’s Allowances," that Lloyd Vandersall's allowance be extended beyond his 22nd birthday to make up for his years of service in the U.S. Navy. 2840t Property Committees The Minutes of February 27, 1947 - Nos. 912 reTirr were approved as typed. Items were all routine, requiring no special mention. 2841 - Faculty of Educations The Minutes of the Administration Committee Tor^^ruairy^lsTT^W - Nos. 346 to 352 - were approved as typed. Items were routine except for Bo. 348, concerning fees, which has already been approved separately by Council. See Minutes of Council Bo. 2834, February 15, 1947. The Minutes of March 3, f947 - Nos. 353 to 357 - were also approved. Items all routine, requiring no special mention. 2842 - Hostel Committees The 1 inutos of the Meeting of February 24, 1947, comprising observations and impressions of the Committee concerning the state of the Hostel during the present year, were approved as typed. 2843 - Visit of Dr. Coffins After further consideration of the plans for br. CoTfin’s visit. Council decided to revise Minute No* 2835 of February 15. The plan that he should address the Prayer Meeting of Wednesday, ’larch 19, at 6:00 p.m. was confirmed; but instead of a buffet supper at 7»30 p.m., following prayer meeting, it was decided that a tea for the full staff of the university, to meet Dr. and Mrs. Coffin, should be held on Thursday, March 20, at 4:30 p*m. in the upper lobby of Swart Hall. The plan that Dr. Coffin should address University assembly on Monday and Wednesday March 17 and 19 stands. Mrs. Badeau was named Chairman of the Committee to have charge of the tea, to co-opt other University ladies as members of the Com ittee; the expenses of the tea to be debited to the University Hospitality Fund
