Transportation costs from Cairo to Alexandria, where such costs were incurred. d. Charges for validation of passports, charges for new passports where required, fees for Egyptian visas, and the costs of trips to Berne to secure Egyptian vs. 4. Hotel Costs in Alexandria and Naples. To help defray the cost of the stay overnight in Alexandria and the two-day stay in Naples the University should pay the following. a. An allowance of LE.1.000 for each adult and LE.0.500 for each child toward the cost of hotel accommodation for one night in Alexandria. b. The cost of hotel accommodations as arranged by the University in Naples (room, breakfast, and dinner). 5. "Tax de Sejour". The University should pay the charges for the "Permit de Sejour" and the monthly "Tax de Sejour" for dependents in Geneva. These amount to 17.50 Swiss Francs and 1.00 Swiss Franc respectively. 6. Dependents Allowances in Geneva after the return of staff members to Cairo. The University should continue to pay the housing allowances and sub-sistence allowances to dependents remaining in Geneva following the principles set forth in paragraphs 1 and 2 above. These allowances should terminate within a reasonable time after the validation of passports is authorized. 7. Dependents Allowances for those who returned to the U.S.A. should be con-tinued as follows: a. The Housing Allowance should be continued in America, providing rentals are paid for dependents. b. The subsistence allowance should be continued at the rate of $10.00 per mcnth per person. c.
