THAT the University budget for the year 1943-44 amounting to 4101,023.24 be approved: 479,143.24 for the budget in Cairo, and 421,88U for the budget in U.S.A. (See Appendix A, 1 and 2) THAT the University continue to pay its Executive Secretary a salary of 45500 a year and that the entire amount be considered as salary rather than 4500 of it as an educational allowance. THAT a contribution of 075 be made to the Committee of Reference and Counsel of the Foreign Missions Conference of N.A. toward their current expenses for 1943-44 (a contribution of 431U was made for the year 1942-43) . THAT a payment of 425 be made to Mr. R. D. McMurchy of Regina, Canada, for his services in looking after the University's interests in the Canadian farm and acting as the University's agent. THAT following the practice of the past two years, the University continue to pay for the year 1943-44, fifty per cent of the Egyptian income tax and fifty per-cent of the Philadelphia wage tax on the salary of the American members of the permanent staff, including Mr.. Nichols and the regularly appointed short term in-structors. Any individual whose classification is not clear shall be determined by the Council in Egypt. THAT the Council in Egypt be given power to continue for the calendar year 1943- 44 the Cost of Living Bonus for the employees of the University in Egypt, the amount of the bonus to be determined by the Council every six months for the following six months period. The total amount to be taken from the Gain in Ex-change for the preceding .year or if this does not prove sufficient, to be charged against the War Emergency Fund in accordance with the previous resolution on the War Emergency Fund passed at the 1942 meeting of the Trustees. THAT the Report of the Bursar for 1942-43 which has been properly audited by Price, Waterhouse, Peat and Company, Certified Public Accountants of Cairo Egypt, be approved. THAT the 'Treasurer's Report for 1942-43 audited by Barrow, Wade, Guthrie and Co.., Certified Public Accountants of Philadelphia, Pa., be received and filed. THAT Price, Waterhouse, Peat and Company, Certified Public Accountants of Cairo, Egypt, be appointed to audit the Bursar's Report for 1943-44 quid THAT Barrow, Wade, Guthrie and Company, Certified Public Accountants of Phila-delphia, be appointed to audit the books of the Treasurer in America for 1943-44 at a cost not to exceed 4300. THAT the Trustees express their sincere appreciation to Dr. John H. MacCracken, Chair, to Mr. Joseph M.
