We are told that a visiting professor for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences may be available for one course in the Faculty of Education; but the fact remains that for most of the time we have been living from hand to mouth. I, there-fore, humbly repeat my request that a permanent American be found for this department of the University. IV Lectures The Faculty of Education had from time to time organized series of leotures on current eduoaticnal topics of particular interests for outsiders. This, however, has been on a small scale, in the firest place because the Division of Extension is already in charge of such lectures, and secondly due to lack of time, as the Faculty is occupied four afternoons a week. This year, for instance, two series were organized. Cne of three lectures dealt with the contribution cf school libraries to education. Ahmed Anwar Cmar, a specialist in Library Science, trained in America, and a librarian at Fouad I University central library, took charge of these. The audience was composed mainly of librarians and Fouad I University students. The discussions which followed the lectures were very lively, and threw light on the pressing need for radical improvement in library organization, not only in school and the Govern-ment universities, but also in public libraries. These lectures were hell during the month of December. The second series organized by this Faculty was incorporated into the forums of the Division of Extension. They all dealt with educational Psychology and were extraordinarily popular.
