REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON EDUCATION to The Board of Trustees of The American University at Cairo The Committee on Education presents the following resolutions for adoption: THAT the Trustees approve the action of the Committee on Education in making the following faculty appointments: THAT Dr. Charles C. Adams of the American Mission in Egypt be ap-pointed Dean of the School of Oriental Studies at a basic yearly salary of '2250 plus Dean's allowance of $500 and the usual allow-ances to members of the permanent staff. This appointment to become effective Se Aember 1, 1939. THAT Mr. Raymond Patouillet be appointed instructor of English and physical educat on for a period of three years béginning with Sep-tember 1939 at the regular salary and allowances. THAT Mr. Wm. Grant Parr be appointed instructor in journalism-and so-cial sciences for a period of three years beginning with September 1939 at the regular salary and allowances. THAT the Trustees having authorized the President to confer degrees in 1939 as recommended by the faculties and approved by the Council in Egypt hereby approve the conferring of degrees on the students listed below at the graduation exercises held in Cairo on May 26, 1939: Degree of Bachelor of Arts: Beglar Navassardian Samir Suqi Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Journalism: Moh'd Sa'd Fawzi Olof Haddad Theodore Levine Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Education: Edmund 'Abdul Nur Moh'd Amin Qura'a Moh'd 'Abdul 'Aziz Dusuqi Satenig Baronian Moh'd Fabmi Al Azhari Sonia Sarkissian.
