That he return to Egypt in the fall of 1923 for a trial of two years with this new teaching assignment to dis-cover whether he will be satisfied with its character and scope. (3). That the decision be not made at this time with reference to the organization of the Biological Sciences, whether they shall be a part of some general Science Department or be made to constitute a separate department. (4). That upon his return to Egypt, Mr. McQuistonts status be, as heretofore, that of associate professor in the Faculty of the College of Arts and Science. (5). That toward the close of 1924-25 his future relationship to the University be considered with a view to more permanent settlement. (6). That in all these proposals our mutual attitude be that of seeking to interpret, in the light of changed conditions and existing facts, the will of God both for the Univer-sity and for Mr. McQuiston with the desire to conserve if possible the important values of the past five years and the relations which were established at the time of Mr. McQuiston's appointment, through prayer and conscientious judgment. d.
