The subject of this thesis focus on the experimental study of magnetotransport (magnetoresistance, ordinary and anomalous Hall effect) and magnetic properties, and their relation with surface topography, in nanogranular thin films of the composite system Co(c)Bi(1-c), consisting of magnetic Co and Bi semimetal in the concentration-c range of 0 ≤ ≤ 0.8. Sample characterization with X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy show: (i) a systematic variation in nanogranular morphologyand film texture as a function of Co concentration-c, and (ii) that Co and Bi remain immiscible, forming separate nanograins of Bi and Co in the film.
