She is surviv­ed by her parents, 2 sisters and a brother. Also her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. E. Rain­bow. Take for instance roads and ditches. On our farm we have a dozen or more culverts made of cement and all very satisfactory. They should, however, be well covered with a foot or two of dirt, installed properly to avoid breaking. The Town Is again putt­ing in wood culverts, soft white pine with a smear of creosote. Just a waste of money. Take for instance heavy-sheet-metal culverts the best there is, they have to be well pro­tected or they are easily ruined. There j/ are two of these on the road west of James’ Service Station, all buckled and bent. Cost probably $100.00 each.
