"The Rainmaker" by Mrs. Ringwood won high honors at the one act play festival at Victoria recently and was awarded the Sun’s Margaret Rushton Trophy for visual presentation and backstage work and the $100 check which accompanies it. The play depicts a Medicine'Hat carnival grounds in the ’1920’s and is a colorful moving pageant of the ill times on the prairies when there is no rain. Mr. M/a’tt, who had suffered a long ill­ness, passed away Friday in the Migrath Hospital, He was 63 years of age. Born in England Ifay 24th 1898 he came to Canada in 1928, He was a veteran of both world wars.
