Pastor Frank Earley, Junaluska Baptist Church

In 1957 there were at least 15 Champion employees who were ordained ministers. Most of their pastoral duties took place outside of work, but when a special service was needed during work hours Champion often gave release time. In this photograph, Frank Earley, skid wrapper in the Finishing Department, is preparing his sermon. He discusses text with his wife, Lura, over coffee at their home in Canton.
