Pastor Robert Swanger, Victory Baptist Church

In 1957 there were at least 15 Champion employees who were ordained ministers. Most of their pastoral duties took place outside of work, but when a special service was needed during work hours Champion often gave release time. In this photograph, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Swanger leave their home on Charles Street, Canton, for the Victory Baptist Church, near Waynesville, where Robert has served as pastor for the past year.
