This research aimed to examine how mental disorders can interfere with operational safety and increase the risk of air accidents caused by human factor, in addition to establishing the relationship between the probable causes of mental disorders and the journey of the brazilian aeronaut, that due to irregular hours of sleep, poor diet and other characteristics of the profession, have a significant impact on the private and working life. Such interference in quality of life bring reflexes and may contribute to the emergence or worsening of mental disorders and consequently to accidents and aircraft incidents linked to the human factor.
