O impacto da fadiga na tripulação e sua relação com acidentes aeronáuticos

This work aims to understand the impact of fatigue on the crew and its relation with aeronautical accidents. In the research, the causes and effects of fatigue in the crew were addressed, as well as the characteristics of the work environment in the flight deck, irregular schedules, besides the importance of sleep and circadian cycle. The technical, physical and psychological capabilities of the crew were shown to be impaired when fatigued. This may induce the crew to make pilot judgment errors, affecting situational awareness and attention level, posing a great risk to flight safety. The methodology used was bibliographic review, documentary and case study, based on scientific articles, books, websites and official documents of national and international aviation organizations such as ANAC, CENIPA, NTSB, ICAO and FAA. During the case study, it was observed in practice the consequences that fatigue can cause to the health of the crew member and that even today the human factor is still the major responsible in aeronautical accidents, acting as a contributing factor, which became clear in the aeronautical accident investigation report analyzed in this work.Este trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como objetivo compreender o impacto da fadiga na tripulação e sua relação com acidentes aeronáuticos. Para tanto, são abordadas as causas e os efeitos da fadiga na tripulação, bem como as características do ambiente de trabalho na cabine de voo, os horários irregulares e a importância do sono e do ciclo circadiano. O estudo revela a diminuição das capacidades técnicas, físicas e psicológicas da tripulação quando fadigados, o que pode induzi-la a cometer erros de julgamento de pilotagem, afetando a consciência situacional e o nível de atenção, gerando grande risco à segurança de voo. Metodologicamente, o estudo consiste de uma revisão bibliográfica, documental e de estudo de caso, tendo como base artigos científicos, livros, websites e documentos oficiais de órgãos nacionais e internacionais da aviação, como ANAC, CENIPA, NTSB, ICAO e FAA. O estudo de caso revelou que as consequências da fadiga podem afetar a saúde do tripulante, o que comprova que mesmo nos dias atuais o fator humano ainda é o grande responsável por acidentes aeronáuticos, atuando como um fator contribuinte. O relatório de investigação de acidente aeronáutico analisado neste estudo confirma que essa realidade é constante no dia a dia da tripulação
