DOIAbstract
Starting with a small number of propositions of the Elements of theology by Proclus, dating from the fifth century, and carrying forward until the most recent translation into Hebrew of the Book of causes in the fifteenth century, an attempt is made to follow the doctrinal, linguistic and palaeographic modifications of a single text, which meanwhile, probably in the ninth century, became the Book of pure Good in Arabic, and in the twelfth century the Liber de causis in Latin. It was translated four times into Hebrew, once from the Arabic and three times from the Latin.
