Oral history; interview with Dr. John A. Tomlinson, May 18, 2012, Mitchell Memorial Library, Mississippi State University. Tomlinson is a Tupelo, Mississippi, native. He received his Bachelor\u27s degree from Mississippi State in 1973. Tomlinson came back to MSU for graduate school in 1976 in Animal Science. At that time he was hired by Dr. Charles Lindley to help advise pre-veterinary students. He was the Assistant to the Dean and Academic Adviser for the College of Agriculture and Home Economics from 1978 until 1987. In 1993 he joined the Office of Development at MSU, serving as a Development Officer for the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine.
