HUBUNGAN ANTARA MINDFULNESS TRAIT DAN STRES PENGASUHAN PADA ORANG TUA YANG MEMILIKI ANAK AUTIS

Parenting autistic children is different from children in general, caring for autistic children requires extra attention from parents. Parents who have autistic children have a tendency to stress parenting which is high compared to parents who have children in general and children with other disabilities. One way to reduce parenting stress is the presence of a mindfulness trait. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the mindfulness trait and parenting stress in parents of children with autism. This study is a quantitative correlational study with 348 participants who are parents of children with autism. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. This study uses the Cognitive and Affective Mindfulness Scale-Revised (CAMS-R) and the Parenting Stress Scale. The data analysis technique used a correlation test with theformula Pearson Product Moment through IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between the mindfulness trait and parenting stress in parents of children with autism (r = -0.374; p 0.000 ≤ 0 ,05). So, it can be concluded that the higher the mindfulness trait , the lower the parenting stress felt by parents who have children with autism
