HUBUNGAN ANTARA INTELLIGENCE QUOTIENT (IQ) DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MEMORI JANGKA PENDEK PADA REMAJA

Short-term memory is an important memory processing in one's cognitive process, because short-term memory is an active information storage system that has the ability to hold information temporarily when a person is performing cognitive tasks. Short-term memory is also related to IQ, where when short-term memory develops properly it can affect a person's IQ or intelligence. This study aims to determine the relationship between IQ and short-term memory ability in adolescents. The research method used is quantitative correlational. Subjects in this study amounted to 81 students who were in high school class X. The instruments used were the IST and Coglab (Cognitive Laboratory) Tests in the position error section. The sampling technique used is random sampling technique and data analysis techniques using product moment person correlation coefficient technique using SPSS 21. The results of this study indicate that in this correlation test significance value 0.002 which means there is a positive relationship between IQ variables with short-term memory ability.
