PENGARUH PENDEKATAN INDUKTIF TERHADAP KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIKA SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of students' mathematical communication skills in solving math problems using an inductive approach to problem-based learning. The subjects of this study were VIIIA as an experimental class that was given treatment during learning using an inductive approach in mathematics learning and class VIIIB as a control class, which were then given an essay test on the flat-sided building material that focused on the volume and surface area of the prism and pyramid. The data analysis technique used was to analyze and test for normality and homogeneity, as well as hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-Test using SPSS 17. From this study, the experimental class had an average number of 80.63 with 27 students able to get scores in on KKM, which has a higher attrition than the control class which has an average of 74.81 with 19 students who score above the KKM. Based on the results of the hypothesis with the t test statistic with a sig. 0.003 is smaller than the level of α = 0.05
