Supreme Court Judge Meir Shamgar

Digital imageMeir Shamgar was born in Danzig in 1929. He immigrated to Palestine in 1939 and was educated at The Hebrew University and London University. He served as Attorney General of Israel from 1968 to 1975, and was appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court in 1975. He served as President of the Supreme Court from 1983 to 1995.
