Digital imageShimon Agranat was born in Kentucky in 1906. He moved to Palestine in 1930, but returned to the United States to attend the University of Chicago Law School. He was elected to the Israel Supreme Court in 1950 and in that capacity co-chaired the tribunal that convicted Adolph Eichmann.
