MINUTES OF COUNCIL April 13, 1929 1000 Organization: Members present: Dr. Watson (in chair), Messrs. Galt, McQoiiston, Cleland, Garthoff and Parker, Mr. Parker sitting as consultative member. Dr. Watson opened with prayer. 1001 Minutes: The Secretary being absent, minutes of the last meeting were not presented. Mr. Parker acted as Secretary pro tem. 1002 Egypt Inter-Mission Council: Dr. Watson presented the proposed revision of the Constitution of the Egypt Inter-Mission Council. These were approved. 1003 Books for Library: In view of ^500 gift for books received from Mrs. Pardee Erdman, it was decided that a like sum from the McKinney Fund be applied to certain library equipment, which is urgently needed 11004 Operation Margaret Watson: Motion made and carried that Council approve the recommendation of Drs. Pochin and Bateman that Margaret Watson be taken to London for an operation. Also that funds be advanced for expenses for her and either Doctor or Mrs. Watson, and that disposition of the expense account be referred to the Board of Trustees at Philadelphia. 1005 Mrs. Emphy’s Contract: Upon motion made and carried it was decided to offer Mrs. Emphy a 2-year contract from Sept. 15th, 1929, to Sept. 15th, 1931, at the rate of pay of the present contract. Also that she be allowed living expenses during short vacation whether in Cairo or elsewhere, and that she be allowed a travel allowance of £.E.25 for ,travel to England or elsewhere in the summer of 1931, in view of the completion of three years of service.
