Simpson, Stone, Tamraz, Van Vleck, Mrs. Van Vleck, Messrs. Wadsworth, Winder The Chairman opened the meeting by reporting on the reception of the evening before in honor of the late Mr. Thorne. President Sadat had awarded the Merit Decoration First Class posthumously to Mr. Thorne, and the Egyptian Ambassador, Dr. Ashraf Ghorbal, presented the decorations to Mr. Thorne's widow and children. 1. The agenda was adopted as presented. 2. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. 3. Report of the Nominating Committee -- Mr. Devine, Chairman, Mrs. Landon K. Thorne, Jr. and Mr. Lawrence Hyde were nominated by the Committee for membership on the Board of Trustees and motions were duly made, seconded and carried electing them. The resignation of Mrs. John Culbertson was accepted under the following resolution, to wit
