I I I - 13 - theater should be both handsome and versatile. It is an important addition to our facilities. While it is primarily a 320 seat, fully equipped little theater, it is also an ideal special lecture hall or hall for small musical groups. (D) Renovation and Expansion For some time to come the University will continue to modify its buildings and grounds to fit the new program. An index of how much of this has gone on is that not a single one of the 15 principle administrators in the University is in an office occupied by himself or his predecessor 4 years ago. At the present time we are developing additional space for the Management program on the roof of the Social Science building of the new campus. We are also planning roof top facilities on the Public Service Building initially for the fine arts program and eventually for other purposes. Now that the high dam is taking effect the absence of floods is enabling us to re-open the basement areas in the old buildings which in recent years had to be abandoned because of standing water in the Fall. (E) Staff Faaitities We have succeeded in establishing a procedure with the U.A.R. customs authorities allowing foreign staff members to bring automobiles into Egypt for the length of their service at AUC without paying duty and without Carnets.
