Yet the present prop-erty facilities of the institution are not sufficient to provide for the indefinite continuance of its work, even on a reiuced scale. The old college building is not only in bad repair but has been outgrown. It is therefore proposed that in lieu of the expected suburban property development, the present city property bo developed by tearing down the college building and .erecting in its place a moro modern and commodious structure. If this move could coincide with the announced change in status, it would do much to main-tain public reputation. Under this plan, the entire suburban property would be sold as advanta-geously as possible. It would probably also be possible to sell the front half of the present city athletic field, retaining the back half for development. This would give either the "minimum" university or the reorganized institution adequate and attractive quarters and, at the same time, release to the Trustees a consider• able sum of money to be applied to past deficits and futuro endowment. Conc lusion The fundamental decision to be made at this time is whether the Univer-sity is to be continued at its minimum level under Plan A, or whether the radical reorganization envisioned by Plan B must be accepted as the pattern of the future. Once the Trustees have indicated which path is to be the future of the instituticr Council will draw up an appropriate plan. If Plan B is chosen, it will probably be necessary to alter the charte of the institution under which it was originally incorporated. To produce any accurate plan envisioning how the institution can make its maximum contribution after reorganization will require some set figure for the expected dollar budget. A basic consideration must be the Christian objective of the institutior— Any alteration in fundamental structure will alter in some respects the type of Christian contribution that can be made. This will need careful study should r3 organization plans be necessary. In summary, the following questions should receive definite action by the Trustees: 1. Shall the University be continued at a minimum level with a dollar budget of approximately 4l24,000? 2. Shall the University concept be dropped and some other type of organization adopted? 3. If th© University is altered as in 2 above, shall it be into a "college" or an "institute?" 4. What dollar budget could the reorganized institution envisioned urdor 2 above rely upon? 5. How can the basic Christian objectives now implemented through a University program be implemented through a reorganized institution
