REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE UN CURRICULUM PROPOSALS The Committee on Education recommends for adoption by the Board of Trustees of the American University at Cairo of the following reso-. lutions: I. RESOLVED: THAT the Board of Trustees favors the policy of A. Liberalizing the Government Secondary Course in order to remedy its present extreme standardization; B. Modifying the Preparatory Course both as to curriculum and as to constituency, so as to integrate it more nearly with the educational life of Egypt; and thereby C. making them more effective feeders for a College whose function is to train intelligent and, creative citizens of Egypt, capable at the same time of playing their part as world citizens. And be it further II. RESOLVED: THAT for practical methods of implementing the above recommendations, reference is to be made to the attached documents; A, B and C.
