The purpose of this paper is to present a reflection on the modalities of schooling in architecture, according to doctoral studies that are offered by different universities in Latin America, Spain, Venezuela, to compare, how the program of doctorate of the school of architecture of the University of Zulia is positioned. The paper is oriented from a descriptive study and theoretical documentary, where're analyzed and discussed theoretical materials related to the category of analysis can be addressed. As a conclusion, we can assume, to obtain a real technological and scientific development, it should necessary increase the number of aspiring to the PhD title, by selecting the modality according their needs.El objetivo de este trabaj...
