A Database of Architectural Repositories, criteria for selection and evaluation

A considerable amount of information that students and teachers in architectural education would find useful in their practice is available in multitude of online databases and repositories, all structured in different ways and providing disparate search methods. The European project MACE (Metadata for Architectural Contents in Europe) will provide a framework to facilitate finding, acquiring, using and discussing about online digital architectural content previously reachable only to small user groups. In the context of MACE we have been building a database of more than 200 architectural repositories, structured according to several criteria which are relevant for architectural education. The database allows for multi-criterial filtering or search of repositories.
