Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles Coarse corn meal. Add cheese and mix thor­oughly. Sprinkle water over mixture. Work in lightly with fork until all particles are moistened. Press into a ball. The marriage of Miss Lavonna Passey, daughter of Mrs, Esther and the late Alva Passey and William Riri'e, son of Mr. & Mrs, Lawrence Ririe took place on Wednesday after­noon at the home of the brides' mother. Bishop Horace Ririe performed the ceremony. Mr. Wm. Passey gave the bride away with Miss Donette Lee as the bridesmaid and Junior Johnson supported the groom. The bride was gowned in white satin with net and matching veil and carried a boquet of red roses, while the bridesmaid wore coral nylon over satin and carried blue carnations. A supper was served immediately after the ceremony with the following guests present: ^r. & Mrs. Lawrence Ririe, Fred Strate, Bud Minor, Wm. Passey, Miss Donnette Lee, Mr, Jr, Johnson, Colin Passey, Glen Passey, Labina Bossert, Mrs. Ardella Bennett, Mrs. Ida Anderson, Johnny MoVey and tho mother of the bride. After the meeting a social was heli and C.E.Harris presented Mrs. Gerald James with a farewell gift in app­reciation of her years of work witi the Red Cross Society. Refreshments were served.
