Cooperation to this point has been excellent and we commend the residents for being aware of the seriousness of the situation. IRRIGATION WATER: There wffl be a limited supply of irrigation waler available and we need to use it sparingly. V\fe are working with the Irrigation District to insure that we will have water through the summer. Motor will be available in Town for 4 days per week - Friday through Monday - then shut off for 3 days - Tuesday through Thursday. In addition to this we are asking that all users east of 1 st Street West (Business Street) Irrigate at night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and those west of 1st Street Wtest Irrigate during the day from 6 a. m. to 6 p.m. Vite will reverse the order every two weeks. PLEASE NOTE THAT FLOOD IRRIGATING WITH OPEN HOSES OR PIPES IS NOT ALLOWED AND USE OF SAME WILL RESULT IN THE SUPPLY BEING SHUTOFF. KELLY HATCH National Champion Tae Kwon Do Sparring Gold Medal Winner Green Belt Division Ottawa, Ontario - May 12,2001 This past weekend I had an opportunity to travel to Ottawa, Ontario to compete in Tae Kwon Do Nationals. It was a very wonderful, rewarding experience. A special “thanks” to Dr. Bill Hanis for sponsoring me with my air fare. Without his generosity I would not have been able to go. I would like to thank Jim Moore for his coaching abilities of the non-sport. And a big thank you to all those in town who continue to love and support me & my family. Magrath is a great place to be. Kelly Hatch I BASEBALL I Zeniths Baseball Magrath Zeniths and Fort Macleod F.P. Walshe Flyers split a doubleheader in Southern Alberta High School Baseball League play. Jimmy Balderson pitched a two-hitter as the Zeniths blanked the Flyers 9-0. The Zeniths were led at the plate by Ben Wood, who went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles wnile Matt Harris was 2-for-2. Booker Alston finished 2-for-4 while Jimmy aided his own cause with a homerun. Walshe rebounded in the second game with a 4-1 victory. Dylan Alston was l-for-2 and Matt Harris l-foe-3 for the Zeniths. Co-ed Slo-Pitch League Anyone interested in playing in a recreational co-ed slo-pitch league for June and July are asked to register as soon as possible. We had six teams in our inaugural season last year and are looking for more. To date we have eight teams for the upcoming season and we can have 10. You can register as a team or as individuals.
