Objective: To assess the nutritional status of players and verify the adequacy of dietary intake in relation to the proposed recommendations. Materials and Methods: We analyzed 25 players professional series D of the Brazilian Championship 2010, male, Botafogo Futebol Clube, Ribeirao Preto, Brazil. The dietary assessment was registered by the food consumption of 3 typical days to obtain the mean of food intake. We calculated the energy expenditure, evaluating food intake x energy expenditure. Results and Discussion: there was a mean percentage body fat of 10.74%, being within the nutritional recommendations.
