Three piano recitals were given in lieu of a written dissertation. The three recitals explored repertory ranging from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The first dissertation lecture recital was devoted to Beethoven’s Bagatelles op.126, exploring the interaction of analysis and performance. The second recital was devoted to music by Haydn, Beethoven, Schumann and Chopin. The third dissertation recital contained music by Schubert, Brahms, Berg and Scriabin.
