Lecture – Recital. “Franz Schubert: Piano Sonata in G Major, Op.78, D.894 (‘Fantasy’).” Sunday, February 22, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. in Walgreen Drama Center, Stamps Auditorium. The lecture studied Schubert’s sonata in terms of the diversity of influences and the variety of moods and styles. The presentation demonstrated aspects of the pastoral genre, connections with nature and Viennese nineteenth-century song and dance associations. The complete work was performed. 2.
